Jean-Pierre Pernaut: still in the Maldives, the journalist plague against the new measures of the government

On vacation in the Maldives, journalist Jean-Pierre Pernaut was keen to raise a rant against the new government measures to try to stem the new wave of Covid-19 contamination.

Going green to celebrate the end of the year holidays with his family, Jean-Pierre Pernaut has not forgotten to keep abreast of information in France. Thus, thousands of kilometers from his native country, from the Maldives, the former presenter of TF1’s 13 hour newscast took his phone to comment on new health measures taken by the government in an attempt to stem the wave of Covid-19 which has hit France head-on since the arrival of the new Omicron variant. And it is on his Twitter account that the journalist pushed his rant.

Nathalie Marquay’s husband had already made himself heard during the first confinement, and in particular following the closure of non-essential businesses. If Prime Minister Jean Castex only announced a small series of measures during his press conference when we feared a new curfew or the closure of bars or restaurants, Jean-Pierre Pernaut apparently did not like his announcements. According to the latter, these restrictions, such as not being able to eat on the train or have a drink while standing in a bar, are simply absurd.

It’s with emojis “laughing out loud” than the former presenter made his point, during comments under articles on social networks explaining for example the gauges introduced during rallies, the non-limitation for political meetings a few months before the presidential election. “Forbidden to eat and drink in long-distance transport announces Jean Castex. It will make it easy in the TGV …“A message to which Jean-Pierre Pernaut responded with an emoji whose brain of the character is boiling. The return to France of the Pernaut family will it seem complicated …
