The musician Jeff LaBar is dead. The guitarist of the hard rock band Cinderella has died at the age of 58.

Jeff LaBar has died at the age of 58. This was confirmed by his ex-wife Gaile LaBar-Bernhardt the US portal “TMZ”who allegedly found the musician and former Cinderella guitarist dead in his Nashville apartment on Wednesday, July 14th. His son Sebastian said goodbye on Instagram from his father. “My hero, my idol died today. Words fail me at the moment. Likes to share pictures or videos of all the fun times we all had with my father,” he wrote of a series of old photos with his father.

Former bandmates say goodbye

His former bandmates have already paid tribute to LaBar in a statement, that is available to the “Rolling Stone”: “The memories with Jeff will stay in our hearts forever. It is inconceivable that one of our band brothers has left us. We send our deep condolences to his wife Debinique, his son Sebastian, his family and friends.”

Music colleagues like Mark Slaughter (57), founding member and namesake of the hard rock band Slaughter, also said goodbye on social media by LaBar. Slaughter wrote: “Gone much too early. Rest in peace.”

Since 1985 LaBar has been the guitarist of the band Cinderella, which also includes Tom Keifer (60), Eric Brittingham (61) and Fred Coury (53). He succeeded founding member Michael Schermick. He celebrated his greatest successes with the hard rock band from Philadelphia. In August 2014 he released his first solo album “One for the Road”. In 2017, Keifer stated that Cinderella will not perform again.
