Jeffrey Epstein: These conspiracy theories about his death exist

Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his cell a year ago. There has been a lot of speculation since then. These conspiracy theories are in circulation.

On August 10, 2019, Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his cell in a New York prison. The convicted sex offender has committed suicide, the authorities said. Nevertheless, many doubt this. Even US President Donald Trump (74) recently commented on this. In an interview, he said people were still trying to find out what happened to Epstein: "Was it suicide? Was he killed?"

A plot of "powerful men"?

Epstein's brother Mark also feeds the conspiracy theorists. The real estate entrepreneur never tires of stressing that he has doubts about the official version of the story, speaking of a "cover-up" and a plot of "powerful men" who were afraid that Epstein would have framed them.

Epstein was in custody because he was said to have mediated young women and girls as prostitutes over a wide network for years and sexually abused dozens of women. In fact, the billionaire had numerous prominent and powerful friends. Epstein had all the rooms in his private estate in New York and on his notorious private island equipped with cameras and is said to have secretly filmed guests having sex there.

Prosecutors provided evidence of the suicide

Being part of the conspiracy also came under the jurisdiction of the two prison guards at New York's Metropolitan Correctional Center. Instead of checking Epstein's cell every half hour, according to the public prosecutor's office, they surfed the Internet or slept.

However, there is ample evidence that prosecutors used to support that it was suicide. For example, footage from surveillance cameras that confirmed that no one had entered the area where Epstein was imprisoned. The locked door to the area could only be opened remotely by an officer in the prison control center. In addition, there was a second locked door, to which only enforcement officers from the high-security area had the key. Epstein also had no cell mate.
