Jendrik Sigwart pretends to be a good loser. In the comment after the ESC failure, he again shows his positive attitude towards life.

The German singer and musical actor Jendrik Sigwart (26) landed on the penultimate place with his song “I Don’t Feel Hate” at the Eurovision Song Contest on Saturday (May 22nd) in Rotterdam. But instead of being deeply depressed, “the whirlwind against hateful messages on the Internet”, as ECS commentator Peter Urban (73) called him during the broadcast, turned out to be a good loser.

In a first story he quickly let his Insta followers know that he was “so good” and that he was happy to have seen it. “My goal wasn’t to win, my goal was to get there and I did it.” In a second story sing Jendrik and his stage partner Myriam Küppers (she performed as a hand) exhausted but happy on a sofa.

Shortly after the award ceremony there was also that first post in the feed. You can see a photo of Jendrik and Myriam in hand costume from behind. Here she is wearing the original costume, a stretched middle finger (against messages of hate). In the show, a second finger had to be stretched out so that the peace sign appeared. Jendrik comments on this: “Oh you guys, thank you very much for your dear, dear messages! To be honest, I already thought that this could happen,” said the artist.

He also repeats why he is not so disappointed: “Getting a good position was never the reason I wanted to take part in the ESC – but you all know that – I wanted to take part to experience this event personally – music To celebrate cultures and communities, “said the man from Hamburg. Jendrik Sigwart closes his post with “Let’s start the new chapter.”

The Italian band Maneskin won the ESC in 2021 ahead of France and Switzerland.
