Jenke von Wilmsdorff is now tackling real criminals. What he finds out is shown in the new true crime series "Jenke. Crime."

After the beauty experiment on his own body, TV journalist Jenke von Wilmsdorff (55) is now tackling real criminals. According to the press release, he confronts four men with their victims and the locations of their criminal acts. "What drives a young man to become a drug lord instead of a machine builder? How does the international drug trade work apart from glorified Hollywood film romance? What goes on in the mind of a convicted criminal?" – von Wilmsdorff wants to get to the bottom of these and similar questions in his new True Crime series.

To do this, he will sit down at the table with the men. "Three men were sentenced together to more than 70 years in prison. Jenke will accompany the fourth man to the start of the trial in spring 2021," the broadcaster announced. So this is not about trivial offenses, but about "drug trafficking, robbery, bodily harm, multi-million dollar cybercrime, human trafficking".

And yet Jenke von Wilmsdorff is certain: "Nobody is just bad, nobody is exclusively good." In conversations with criminologists, psychologists, victims and perpetrators, he also wants to find out how credible repentance is and whether prison is the best vocational school.

The four-part true crime series "Jenke. Crime." can be seen from May 4, 2021 on Tuesdays at 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben.
