Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore are happy: their multiple film partner Adam Sandler receives the Mark Twain Prize.

Jennifer Aniston (54) and Drew Barrymore (48) celebrate their multiple film partners: Adam Sandler (56) was awarded the Mark Twain Prize on Sunday. Stars like Billy Crystal (75), Eddie Murphy (61) and Whoopi Goldberg (67) have already won what is probably the most important US prize for comedians.

According to media reports Not only was Adam Sandler’s wife Jackie (48) present, but also the two actresses who have repeatedly embodied his partner on the screen. Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore cheered for Sandler from the audience. Both were dressed modestly in black.

Drew Barrymore also celebrated Adam Sandler on Instagram. She posted a series of photos of the two there, whether in film, on the red carpet, or in person. “A Sunday buffet honoring Adam Sandler, who changed me and the world with his comedy and so much more,” she wrote.

Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston first appeared together in the 2011 romantic comedy My Fictitious Wife. In the remake of the classic “The Cactus Blossom” (1969), Aniston has to pretend to be Sandler’s wife. Of course they fall in love with each other.

In 2019, Sandler and Aniston reunited on Netflix. In “Murder Mystery” they play a married couple who are suspected of murder on a cruise and now want to find the real culprit. The crime comedy became a hit and the sequel will be released on Netflix on March 31, 2023.

Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler: Fourth movie together coming soon?

While Adam Sandler’s third film with Jennifer Aniston is on the way, he’s well past that milestone with Drew Barrymore. They first formed a screen couple in 1998 in the romantic comedy “A Wedding to Fall in Love,” which helped spark the ’80s retro boom at the time.

In 2005, the dream couple stood in front of the camera again. In “50 First Dates,” Sandler had to recapture the amnesiac Barrymore every day. The duo’s least known film then followed in 2014, “Urlaubsreif” earned several nominations for the anti-Golden Raspberry award.

If Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore have their way, it won’t stop at three films together. The actress revealed to Entertainment Tonight that she’s actively looking for a project for her and Sandler. It would be the fourth collaboration in the fourth consecutive decade.
