At Christmas she almost lit her kitchen on fire

Jennifer Garner wanted to serve something special at Christmas – and almost set her kitchen on fire, as she shows on Instagram.
For a long time, Jennifer Garner (49) has been filming herself cooking regularly and then shares the recipes on her Instagram page under the hashtag “Pretend Cooking Show”. With their Christmas recipe, however, things almost went wrong.
According to Garner, he took a beef bourguignon recipe from Ina Garten for Christmas – and set almost her entire kitchen on fire, as can be seen in the video. In it she pours a decent glass of cognac into the pot, lights it and thus releases a flame almost to the ceiling. Garner is so shocked that she stands motionless in front of it with her mouth wide open.
“That was wild”
“Can you believe that just happened?” Garner asks the pot afterwards, shocked. “That was wild!” The problem was that she wanted to make double the amount of the recipe, so she’d also doubled the cognac. She now emphatically gives her followers the tip: “Doubled it up. Don’t. The. Cognac.”
But the moment of shock was probably not entirely new either. Even before lighting the fire, Garner says she is nervous. In the comments, she admits that she almost set the kitchen on fire every time she read the recipe. Still, the dish seems to be worth it, as Garner’s expression shows at the end of the video.
