In an interview, Jennifer Garner spoke of the negative experiences she and her children had with paparazzi.

The children of famous people are always the target of paparazzi. But how do children react to aggressive photographers and what effects does growing up in the spotlight have on them? Hollywood star Jennifer Garner (48, "Dallas Buyers Club") talked about this in an interview with the "Hollywood Reporter" and did not leave the paparazzi happy. Her children were traumatized for a long time, especially at a young age.

Garner even revealed that she has almost no family pictures, as her children Samuel (9), Seraphina (12) and Violet (15) were afraid of cameras due to their experiences. At the moment, however, it is not possible to say exactly what effects the attention of the press and paparazzi will have on their children in the future: "We will have to ask them about them when they are older," said Garner.

Constantly pursued

Garner, who shares custody of the three children with her ex-husband Ben Affleck (48, "The Accountant"), reports an incident in which her eldest daughter Violet told about the paparazzi in kindergarten: "She was standing on a chair and said, "We didn't ask for them. We don't want these cameras, they're scary. The men are scary, they run over each other and it's hard to feel like a kid when you're chasing becomes'."

Constantly being followed by cameras "carried a lot of fear into our small family," the actress continued. Even if she only picked up her children from school, 15 cars followed her. She didn't have a day without being surrounded by photographers. In 2013, Garner wanted to do something about it. Together with other celebrities, such as Halle Berry (54, "James Bond 007 – Die Another Day"), she introduced a law in the US state of California that makes it a criminal offense to photograph children without permission .
