Jennifer Gates
This is Nayel Nassar – Bill Gates’ new son-in-law
Jennifer Gates has said yes to her great love Nayel Nassar. The show jumper married into one of the richest families in the world. We introduce you to Bill Gates’ new son-in-law.
Last weekend (October 15 to 17, 2021) the time had come: Jennifer Gates, 25, the daughter of Microsoft founder Bill Gates, 65, and her fiancé Nayel Nassar, 30, celebrated a three-day luxury wedding in a class of its own to the annoyance of some neighbors in the small town of North Salem, which has a population of 5,000. Here, in beautiful Westchester County, New York – the seventh richest district in the United States – Jennifer and Nayel live on a $ 16 million farm that Bill and Melinda Gates, 57, after Jennifer graduated for their eldest daughter bought.
But who is actually the likable-looking show jumper who seems to have taken the hearts of Jennifer and her family by storm? We introduce him to the athlete in more detail.
Nayel Nassar: This is how Bill Gates’ new son-in-law ticks
1. He comes from a wealthy Egyptian family
Nayel Nassar, who announced his engagement to Bill Gates’ daughter on January 29, 2020, is similarly socialized as his extremely rich and newly wedded wife. He was born in Chicago to an Egyptian millionaire couple. However, he grew up in Kuwait before returning to America. His parents ran an architecture and design office there.
In 2017, he returned to the country with Jennifer for a visit before the Christmas holidays. On Instagram he wrote: “Unforgettable moments in Kuwait last week with family and old friends. I was allowed to bring Jenn home and give her a glimpse into my childhood. That meant a lot to me.” She is said to have been loved by everyone. How sweet!
2. Ambitious like his billionaire wife
Both Nayel and Jennifer studied at the elite Stanford University in Northern California. While his wife obtained her degree in human biology in 2018, he completed his degree in economics five years earlier in 2013. Nassar also speaks several languages: in addition to his native English, Arabic and French.
3. Nayel and Jennifer share a passion for sport: show jumping
After graduating from Stanford University, Bill Gates’ daughter took a career break to focus on her passion, equestrianism. She is now studying medicine. Her new husband remains loyal to equestrian sport and last won the Swiss Grand Prix in 2021. No wonder, his sporting career – which even reached its climax at the Olympic Games – started early.
Nayel began riding at the Kuwait Riding Center when she was only five years old (Jennifer Gates started out when she was six); with ten years with the show jumping. When he was 13, Nassar played his first international youth show jumping tournaments. In early 2009 he took part in the World Cup competition of the Arab League in Dubai. He also qualified for the World Cup finals in 2013, 2014 and 2017. His most important successes include winning the $ 400,000 Grand Prix of New York.
Most recently he took part in the Olympic Games in Tokyo. It was the first time in 61 years that the Egyptian riding team qualified for the Olympic Games. His mother-in-law Melinda wrote on Instagram: “I always love to watch the Olympics. The #TokyoOlympics are very special because I can cheer on my future son-in-law @nayelnassar! We are so proud of you, Nayel (and Igor)! “
