Jennifer Lawrence, currently starring in the comedy “Le Challenge”, is not a fan of actors who are too involved in their roles.
Currently starring in the comedy Le Challenge, the American Jennifer Lawrence has a fairly precise conception of acting. For her, it is thus impossible to work with an actor applying the method of the Actors Studio, in other words someone involved 24 hours a day in his character, on but also outside the sets.
“I would be nervous about working with someone doing the Actors Studio”says the 32-year-old actress on the show Hot Ones. “I would have no idea how I should talk to him. Should I be in character too? It would make me nervous.”
Not a fan of the full Actors Studio, where the actor never drops out of his role, Jennifer Lawrence prefers a more moderate version of the method like that practiced by Christian Bale, to whom she gave the reply in American Hustle.
“I was always in on-off mode, in ‘I’m in my role, I’m not anymore, I’m in my role, I’m not anymore’ mode, until I worked with Christian Bale on American Bluff”continues Jennifer Lawrence in comments reported by Variety.
“I noticed that it was only 10 seconds before ‘Action’ that he came into character, and not before. I thought that was a good idea and decided to do the same .”
