Jennifer Lopez is going on tour with her new album. But the weak sales figures now forced the singer to take action.

Jennifer Lopez (54) is reportedly renaming her new tour. In February, the singer announced her “This Is Me… Now” concert series for next summer, to coincide with her new album of the same name. Now she is said to have changed the musical direction of the tour: As “Variety” reports, the tour is now running under “This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits”.

According to the report, the renaming could be a response to Lopez’s weak ticket sales for her performances. The title suggests that she will no longer just present her new album, but will also play hits from her entire career. The broader lineup could attract loyal fans.

Jennifer Lopez cancels concert dates

J.Lo failed to inspire the masses with her album. Last month, she canceled seven of the 30 dates of her North American tour, reportedly due to weak ticket sales, according to Variety. This will take you through the USA and Canada between June and August 2024. The musician will no longer be stopping in Cleveland and Nashville, among others, during her fifth tour.

Lopez’s album “This Is me… Now” only sold 14,000 copies in its first week after its release in February, according to Variety. As the second of their nine studio albums, it did not land in the top ten of the “Billboard 200” charts, but only made it to number 38.

In addition to the tour, the project surrounding the singer and actress’ album also includes two films. “This is me… Now” is a musical film starring Lopez and depicts her life. She reportedly put $20 million into the production herself. It was released on Amazon Prime in February, followed a week later by “The Greatest Love Story Never Told.” The documentary follows the protagonist during the making of the first film.
