Having asked Cyril Hanouna for a right of reply following JeremStar’s previous appearance in Touche pas à mon poste a few weeks ago, Aquababe came out of silence on the C8 talk show set on Friday January 20, 2023.
Friday, December 2, 2022, Cyril Hanouna had received the famous blogger JeremStar on the plateau de Touche not at my post. Moved, the former columnist of Thierry Ardisson in the program Les Terriens du dimanche then returned to the famous case called the JeremStar Gate, and more particularly on its consequences. “I lost my television job. At the time, it was crazy because I was coming out of this reality TV world. I had succeeded in being one of the few to arrive on TV, to make political subjects of society (…). And overnight I became a shit“, he had declared.
JeremStar had also indicated that he received again and again threatening letters following this case, before speaking about the various lawsuits that have resulted from it, and which have cost him more than 200,000 euros in legal fees so far. “There are still ongoing legal proceedings, about ten“, had indicated the former columnist of C8, before attacking the director of the blogger Aquababe. As a reminder, it was precisely he who was at the origin of the JeremStar Gate a few years ago. Since then, he was sentenced for defamation of JeremStar. Following the comments made by the latter in Touche pas à mon poste, Aquababe asked for a right of reply, which Cyril Hanouna granted him on Friday January 20, 2023 on C8.
Aquababe: “I spoke surper badly with my mouth, I recognize it”
“Basically, when I launched the JeremStar Gate, it was a noble cause. I never meant to create buzz about him“, he first launched, before explaining that this case originated in a “scoop theft“concerning The Angels.”I reached him by phone and he blocked me. This is where the war started. Afterwards, we are not going to lie to each other, I was virulent, I was 18 years old. I spoke surper badly with my mouth, I recognize it“, explained Aquababe, before claiming that JeremStar “likes to lie a lot“concerning him. The blogger nevertheless expressed regret regarding the homophobic insults he may have addressed to JeremStar. Regarding his defamation conviction, Aquababe clarified that “(his) evidence has not been received in court”.
Following the blogger’s appearance on Cyril Hanouna’s show, JeremStar quickly reacted by issuing a press release as a response on his Instagram account. “This individual, still recently targeted by numerous complaints, seems to minimize the facts and go back on his conviction“, wrote the former columnist of C8. JeremStar later clarified that a “investigation is still in progress for harassment and threats to (his) against him (…). A trial date will be set soon.“. The famous blogger also added that Aquababe “never carried out his court sentence“.
