Jeremy Renner: "Avengers" star wants to pay less maintenance because of Corona

The corona crisis has serious economic consequences – apparently also for Marvel actor Jeremy Renner (49, "Avengers: Endgame"). Therefore, the actor has now written to the responsible family court to request a reduction in the maintenance payment for his daughter Ava (6).

Due to the pandemic, some of his film projects have been put on hold, Renner explains in a letter that is apparently available to the US celebrity portal "TMZ". Therefore, the Hollywood star hopes to lower his financial obligations to his ex-wife Sonni Pacheco (28). So far, he has transferred $ 30,000 a month (around 28,000 euros), writes Renner.

Is $ 30,000 maintenance reasonable?

Renner and Pacheco were married from 2014 to 2015 and have a daughter, the six-year-old Ava Berlin. After their separation, the couple had a bitter custody battle that resulted in the current maintenance scheme. Renner, however, apparently considers the amount applied to be inappropriate. As "TMZ" reports, he accuses his ex-wife of using the money to finance her lifestyle instead. The "Avengers" star believes that the child's needs can be covered "reasonably" with $ 11,000 a month.
