Jérôme Béglé’s editorial: “Haro on Anne Hidalgo”

In his editorial for this Tuesday, February 1, Jérôme Béglé, managing director of the Journal du Dimanche, looks at the campaign of Anne Hidalgo, who arrived fifth in the Popular Primary.

The popular primary certainly crowned, as expected, Christiane Taubira, but it contributed to weakening Anne Hidalgo a little more still, arriving in fifth place in a ballot which gathered nearly 400,000 voters.

The way of the cross continues for the mayor of Paris, supported lip service by the socialist elephants and who is now closely followed in the polls by Fabien Roussel the candidate of the Communist Party. A humiliation that is due to the growing discontent among Parisians but also to the ideological vacuum faced by the left.
