Jesse Tyler Ferguson (44) has become a father. The US actor, who became famous for the "Modern Family" series, and his husband, lawyer Justin Mikita (34), are happy about their first child together, as a spokesman for Fergusons confirmed to the "People" magazine. Accordingly, the two were able to greet the small Beckett Mercer Ferguson-Mikita on July 7, 2020. "The new parents are overjoyed and excited about this new trip as a family of three."
In January, Ferguson announced on The Late Late Show with James Corden that he and his husband were expecting their first child. "Actually, I haven't mentioned this to anyone – please keep it to you – but I'm actually expecting a baby with my husband in July," said the actor. "I am now 44 years old. I thought, 'Let's start this show now.'" Ferguson and Mikita married in New York City in 2013. They got engaged in Mexico a year earlier after the couple had been together for about two years. For the actor, the family growth comes after the end of the sitcom "Modern Family", in which he has played since the beginning in 2009. The series ended after eleven seasons.
