For Jessica M’Barek, action is part of the holiday, as her new hobby together with husband Elyas M’Barek shows.

The first spring sun appears in the sky and makes you want summer and lightness – an ideal time to think about the next trip. When it comes to the perfect holiday, opinions are divided: some prefer to stay in a luxury hotel with a spa and room service, while others are looking for great adventure and swear by the romance of a campsite.

Actress and model Jessica M’Barek doesn’t always have to be luxurious either, as the model explained on Thursday evening (March 23) at the Longchamp glamping party in Munich. But the best thing is a mix of luxury and adventure: “When I’m in a luxurious place, I’m always looking for something that brings me back to earth. I always like to leave a window of time when I’m traveling when I don’t have any plans and anything can happen,” says M’Barek. At the event, the French luxury brand presented its summer collection; according to the motto, the location was heaped up with sand, and the projected sunset shone on the wall.

The next adventure holiday is already on the horizon

In her childhood, the American often went on camping holidays with her family: “We unpacked our tent, went fishing and climbing. I love making campfires, fishing and spending time with family and friends in the fresh air to spend.”

The next adventure holiday is already on the horizon: together with her husband Elyas M’Barek (40) they will go kitesurfing in the Dominican Republic over Easter. “We just started doing it. It’s a lot of fun and you learn it relatively quickly. It just takes a bit of skill.”

Kim Hnizdo is a big glamping fan

Kim Hnizdo (27) also comes from Team Camping, but has also become part of Team Luxus through the job: “Glamping is a great compromise!” Says the model. She is already a real glamping expert: “I once glamped on the Rhine for four days – in tents, but in very comfortable beds. We fished during the day. I also went glamping in Sicily and South Africa – in the tree house.”

Model Alena Gerber (33) loves the combination of both: “Even on a luxury holiday in the Maldives, I still provide a good deal of adventure. For example, I recently went horseback riding on Zanzibar – an adventure that I will think about for the rest of my life But I don’t say no to a little luxury on vacation either.” No matter where it ends up, one thing always has to be in Gerber’s luggage: “My bikini. A small suitcase with lots of bikinis and a few simple summer dresses to throw on is enough for me.”

Soulin Omar’s insect phobia gets in the way of camping

“Luxury is beautiful, but nature is much more beautiful,” says former “GNTM” participant Soulin Omar (22). “I tend to want to be one with nature.” However, traditional camping would not be for the native Syrian: “Unfortunately, I have a really bad insect phobia. The idea of camping and everything that comes with it sounds great, but the thought that I could run into an insect gets in my way. I am Definitely Team Glamping.”

For model Gloria-Sophie Burkandt (24), it all depends on the place: “Everyone loves beautiful hotels, but in some places only nature counts. If nature is beautiful, then it doesn’t matter whether you’re in a tent, the Holiday apartment or sleeps in a luxury hotel. Luxury is nice, but not essential for survival. And with the right people, it’s nice everywhere anyway.”
