The ups and downs in Jessica Simpson's life will soon be featured in a documentary series. The singer is happy about an Amazon deal.

Jessica Simpson (40, "Blonde Ambition") is working together with the film production company Amazon Studios. As the singer, actress, entrepreneur and author announced on Wednesday (December 9th) on Instagram, fans can look forward to several new releases.

Multi-part documentary without a script

On the one hand there should be a multi-part documentary series without a script based on Simpson's memoir "Open Book". The 40-year-old, who also acts as a co-producer of the documentary, shows her fans personal film material from the past ten years that has never been seen before. Simpson says he is honored to work with the streaming service "to bring my story and heart to life on screen".

Also part of the deal should be two essays written by Simpson, as reported by "The Hollywood Reporter" among others. The mother of three mainly wrote about motherhood and gratitude. The audio versions of the essays will also be spoken personally by Simpson.

"I hope to be able to continue the mission that I set out to do by writing 'Open Book'," explains the 40-year-old on Instagram. She wants to inspire others to get carried away and to believe in themselves, "face their fears in order to emerge from them even stronger in the end".
