Jill Vandermeulen confided like never before in a video posted on YouTube on January 30, 2022. The former candidate of the star Academy (season 5 in 2005) answered questions about her private life, the opportunity for her to confirm that she had another miscarriage recently.
2021 has been a busy year for Jill Vandermeulen. To begin with, her companion Simon Gérard and she moved and had to do some work in their new house. She also created her diary. And personally, she experienced a painful ordeal last summer: a miscarriage. A sad event that she had shared with her community on Instagram, through a moving message. “My world is collapsing around me. In shock, I feel like the minutes last an eternity and I don’t say a word. And then I break down, I panic, I burst into tears, still naked on this table with this damn mask on my mouth that prevents me from breathing between each sob“, she wrote in particular. It is therefore physically and emotionally tired that the pretty 34-year-old Belgian ended the year 2021.
And early 2022 wasn’t much brighter for Jill and her sweetheart, as she explained in her YouTube video. “We ended the year on a note that was extremely positive since I found out in December that I was pregnant. So it was the most wonderful Christmas present and it ended the year 2021 in an exceptional way. Unfortunately 2022 has not started as we would have liked. I lost our baby again so it was very complicated“, she confessed.
Quiet place
Despite everything, Jill Vandermeulen does not give up on her desire to give life again. She therefore continues to pay attention to her lifestyle and her diet. For example, she tries to drink at least 1.5 liters of water and takes specialized food supplements. “I try to sleep well and have moments of calm“, she added. She practices yoga and meditation in particular to reduce her stress. Hopefully for her that this year will allow her to realize her dream of expanding her family.
As a reminder, she is already the proud mother of Bella (11 years old). She quickly separated from the dad since he was not present during the delivery, as she explains in the video. It was her mother who was at her side to support her. James (9 years old) and Jude (7 years old)were also born from a previous relationship.
Jill had already mentioned her second miscarriage in an Instagram story on January 17. She had posted a photo of herself in the hospital, in a gown, on a bed. “Important information. In the event of loss of your pregnancy, if the miscarriage is not spontaneous, you can (in Belgium) request a curettage from your gynecologist. Here, the option was immediately offered to me. It is certainly a hospitalization with general anesthesia, so not easy, but an analysis of the embryo can be done in order to obtain answers. To live the mourning more serenely and especially to take medical measures afterwards, it is an option which has advantages. If you are one day in this situation (which I do not wish on anyone), discuss it directly with your doctor.“, she had advised.
