Jim Carrey quiz: can you find the original posters of the actor of The Mask?

We offered you a quiz a few months ago on the roles of Jim Carrey in the cinema. Today, it is with the posters of his films that we are going to play. Can you recognize these 8 posters with a simple zoomed detail?

Jim Carrey, who celebrated his sixtieth birthday this year, discovered his talents as an actor very early on, spending hours in front of the mirror in his youth making all sorts of grimaces.

His father, who detected a certain talent in his then teenage son, tried to help him perform on stages in Toronto. His first attempts are not convincing, but the young actor will try his luck again a few years later, this time becoming the headliner of the stand-up cabaret Yuk-Yuk.

At the age of 19, Jim Carrey decides to leave his native Canada to try the American adventure, leaving for Los Angeles with only 1000 dollars in his pocket, and quickly makes a name for himself by performing on the stage of the Comedy Store.

He took his first steps in the cinema in 1983, and won his first real major role in 1986 under the direction of Francis Ford Coppola in Peggy Sue got married alongside Nicolas Cage and Kathleen Turner.

But it was the year 1994 that would propel the man with a thousand faces to international star status. Indeed, this year alone, Jim Carrey will interpret three of the characters who will remain among the best known of his future filmography: Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber, detective Ace Ventura in the eponymous film, but above all Stanley Ipkiss in Chuck’s The Mask Russell.

The actor’s career is therefore definitely launched, and he will shoot under the direction of big names in cinema such as Milos Forman for Man on the Moon, Peter Weir for the enormous success The Truman Show, or even in a slightly more drama with Michel Gondry in Eternal of the Spotless Mind.

Last April, Jim Carrey announced that he wanted to retire from film. Let’s hope that a golden scenario will make him change his mind, and allow us to see this talented actor one day on the screen.

In the meantime, we invite you to play with some of the posters of his most famous films, trying to recognize them with the help of a simple detail.
