Jimmy Kimmel: He will host the Emmy Awards next September

Large events are still a sensitive topic due to the corona pandemic. That alone shows the fact that even the Oscars were postponed to April 25 next year. This year's award ceremony for the Primetime Emmys, at which the makers of TV productions will be honored, will still take place on September 20. And a moderator has also been found: late-night host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel (52, "The Serious Goose") can play for the third time, as was announced on the official website of the event.

The 52-year-old also acts as the producer of the 72nd edition of the event. But Kimmel has no idea what the show will look like: "I don't know where we will do it, how we will do it, not even why we will do it. But we do it and I moderate, "Kimmel is quoted as saying. At ABC, everyone agrees that Kimmel will present this "important event with heart and humor", ABC boss Karey Burke says – despite or perhaps because of the challenge that the corona crisis presents him with.
