Joanne Linville died at the age of 93. The actress became known through appearances on “Star Trek” or “Twilight Zone”.

US actress Joanne Linville died on Sunday at the age of 93, as reported by the industry portal “Variety”. She was known, among other things, for her role as a Romulan commander in “Starship Enterprise”.

Linville, originally from California, has appeared on numerous popular television programs over the course of her decades, including “Twilight Zone”, “Columbo”, “Kojak”, “The Denver Clan”, “Charlie’s Angels” and “LA Law”. According to “Variety”, she was seen in over 100 film and TV productions.

An inspiration

Linville married the director Mark Rydell (92) in 1962, with whom she had two children who are also actors. The couple divorced in the 1970s. In the 1980s, Linville founded a school with her acting teacher Stella Adler (1901-1992) and also taught herself.

She had a “full life”, quoted the industry portal from a statement on Linville’s death. Her “passion for art and life” was an inspiration for everyone “who had the pleasure to know her”.
