Job machine: This is how many people Tesla hires in Germany every month

That’s how many people Tesla hires every month for its German factory. It is particularly exciting where Tesla is looking for qualified employees.

Tesla’s Gigafactory in Grünheide, Brandenburg, is developing into a job machine. According to Brandenburg Economics Minister Jörg Steinbach, Tesla hires 500 to 600 people there every month. Reuters reports.

On top of that, according to Steinbach, Tesla is working with the Federal Employment Agency to specifically address people who would already work for German car manufacturers or have worked there and would no longer be needed by their previous employers. Reuters quotes Steinbach as follows: “The fact that car manufacturers in other regions have recognized that they need fewer people for the production of electric cars than before helps us because we are trying to bring them to Brandenburg”.

The situation in Grünheide

So far, Tesla has hired 4,100 to 4,500 employees in Grünheide. About ten percent of them are foreigners, mainly Poles. Tesla has been operating in Grünheide in two shifts since May 23, 2022. By the end of 2022, however, Tesla wants to produce around the clock in three shifts in Grünheide, as Steinbach adds.

The announcement that Tesla would hire 500 to 600 people per month in Grünheide does not fit at all with an email from Elon Musk, according to which Tesla wants to cut ten percent of his staff: Musk fires 10 percent of Tesla employees – because of a bad feeling. However, Musk had the contents of his email

already put into perspective
and emphasizes that the total number of employees would increase.

The only thing is that the number of employees should no longer increase, but the number of workers who assemble the cars certainly should.
