On British television, actress Jodie Turner-Smith has criticized the royal family for their dealings with Harry and Meghan.

If the actress Jodie Turner-Smith (34) has its way, the British royal family has made mistakes in dealing with Prince Harry (36) and Duchess Meghan (39). “There is a lot of opposition to new things that could advance the institution in a way that more strongly represents today’s world,” said Turner-Smith according to the Daily Mail on British breakfast television.

Royals could have protected them

The actress went on to say on “Good Morning Britain”: “I think you could have seen this marriage and this relationship as a way to develop.” According to the 34-year-old, the Royals “could have completely welcomed and protected” Meghan. In addition, they could have protected Archie (2), the couple’s little son, so that Harry would not have felt compelled to leave the Royals with Meghan and his son for the USA.

In March, Meghan and Harry caused a stir in an interview with US talk show host Oprah Winfrey (67). Meghan spoke, among other things, about the lack of help from the court. The two raised allegations of racism and stated that unnamed members of the family had expressed concerns about Archie’s skin color before he was born. Later it was at least known that the statements should not come from Queen Elizabeth II (95) or the late Prince Philip (1921-2021).

Turner-Smith can currently be seen in the UK in the three-part TV thriller “Anne Boleyn”. The actress gives in it the former Queen of England. The 34-year-old has been married to Joshua Jackson (42) since 2019. They have a one year old daughter together.
