Joe Biden made his first appearance on a late night show as US President – and told of everyday life in the White House.

US President Joe Biden (79) has made his first talk show appearance since taking office. On the “Tonight Show” he chatted with Jimmy Fallon (47) via video chat about his experiences in the White House and the initial difficulties in everyday life. “Jill and I come from the middle class,” he explains about himself and his wife Jill Biden (70). Therefore, they are not used to being served and so they have made an agreement with the staff.

Lack of cooking skills

“We don’t let them make our breakfast. We cook our eggs ourselves,” revealed the 79-year-old. However, Biden had to admit that the first lady was primarily responsible for preparing breakfast. “When I was nine or ten years old, my daughter said in an interview that I couldn’t do more than heat water and cook spaghetti – and she’s right.”

When asked what Biden would like, which one could talk about in an interview at this time in the coming year, the US President said: “I hope we can talk about how we got Covid under better control.” He also wanted less unemployment, higher salaries, better environmental protection and inflation brought under control. “I look to the future with confidence. And I think optimistically about our country.”
