Joe and Jill Biden
This is how the designated presidential couple will ring in 2021
Presidential-designate Joe and Jill Biden will deliver a message to the US people at Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin 'Eve.
The official handover of the US presidential office – whether Donald Trump (74) wants it or not – will take place on January 20, 2021 with the swearing-in of Joe Biden (78). He and the future First Lady Jill Biden will make a prestigious appearance at the turn of the year. As reported by the US site "The Hollywood Reporter", the presidential couple will address a New Year's Eve message to the American people during the annual TV show "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin 'Eve".
As every year since 1972, the show takes place live on ABC on December 31st, with Ryan Seacrest (46) leading the evening for the 16th time in a row. According to the report, during their interview with the moderator, the Bidens want to send a message of hope and confidence to TV viewers and continue to call for unity.
In addition to the 46th presidential couple in US history, numerous show acts are also expected. There will be performances by Jennifer Lopez (51), Miley Cyrus (28), Lewis Capaldi (24, "Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent") and Machine Gun Kelly (30) before the world-famous time ball in Times Square in New York City let down and so solemnly ushered in the New Year.
