German Shepherd Commander no longer lives with the presidential couple. Joe and Jill Biden placed him with other family members.

Last year, German Shepherd Commander was banned from the White House after he allegedly bit and attacked several employees. Now a spokeswoman for the First Lady has announced that US President Joe Biden (81) and Jill Biden (72) have long since said goodbye to their four-legged friend.

24 bite attacks in the White House

“The President and First Lady care deeply about the safety of those who work in the White House and those who protect them every day. Despite additional dog training, leash walking, working with veterinarians and consulting with animal behaviorists, the environment proved to be white House simply considered too much for Commander,” the spokeswoman said quoted by the New York Post. Commander has been living “with other family members” since the fall.

As CNN reports, citing several documents, there have been at least 24 incidents involving the presidential dog Commander at the White House and other locations. The station also has several photos, including one of an agent’s broken shirt, which is said to have been torn by the commander.

Commander joined the Bidens in 2021

A source told CNN that the Bidens are “heartbroken” about it. “They apologized to those who were bitten and brought some flowers. They feel terrible.” The dog was too protective. In 2021, Commander was welcomed into the presidential family as a puppy.
