Joe Biden raved about the Queen after an audience: In terms of her looks and generosity, she reminded him of his mother.

Joe Biden (78) was in Great Britain for the G7 summit and also visited Queen Elizabeth II (95) during his trip. “She was very kind”, revealed the US President according to the “New York Times”after he and First Lady Jill Biden (70) enjoyed a private audience at Windsor Castle. In terms of her appearance and her generosity, she “reminded him of my mother,” added Joe Biden about the monarch.

During the meeting, the Queen spoke with Biden, according to the report, about Russian President Vladimir Putin (68) and China’s head of state Xi Jinping (67). The two are also said to have chatted about life in the White House compared to that at Windsor Castle. “I said we could put the White House in the courtyard,” joked the President of the Queen’s residence, adding that he had invited the Queen to the White House. It was the second meeting for the Bidens and the Queen in a few days. On Friday Elizabeth II attended the Cornwall Summit.

Biden is the 13th US President the Queen meets

Joe Biden is the 13th US President the Queen has met during her reign. The monarch, who ascended the throne in 1952, has spoken personally to all American presidents since Harry S. Truman (1884-1972), with the exception of Lyndon B. Johnson (1908-1973). The audience with the Bidens was now one of their first public appointments after Prince Philip’s death (1921-2021). The Queen’s husband died in April at the age of 99.
