Joe Biden: He's setting a record

No matter how the fight for president will end in the end, Joe Biden has a special record for sure.

The Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden (77) currently has to tremble in a duel with US President Donald Trump (74) for the highest office in the United States. After the first counts, he is at least sure of a record.

Never before have so many US citizens voted for a candidate (already over 70 million). The previous record holder was Barack Obama (59) with 66,862,039 votes, as the "New York Times" reported. Donald Trump won the election in 2016 with 62,985,106 votes. However, due to the US electoral system, the number of votes cast is not critical. Biden can still lose to Donald Trump despite the record.

However, Joe Biden has just achieved his first major success in the fight for president: The Democrat has won the duel in the state of Wisconsin. The victory in the important swing state was narrow, with just over 20,000 votes between the two candidates.
