Joe Biden: The US celebrities celebrate their election victory so exuberantly

"All over the world, joy, hope and confidence in tomorrow," said Joe Biden in his election victory speech. This is how US celebrities celebrate him.

Joe Biden (77) prevailed over the incumbent US President Donald Trump (74) and is now officially the "President-elect of the United States". Trump will remain in office until he takes office on January 20, 2021, but Biden and the new and first female Vice President Kamala Harris (56) are still celebrated around the world. Countless US celebrities are also relieved by the election results – confirming what Biden said in his first speech after the election victory on Saturday: "All over the world, joy, hope and confidence in tomorrow."

Hollywood star Julia Roberts (53, "Erin Brockovich") is one of the exultant celebrities. She had regularly and clearly called people to vote on Instagram over the past few months. "Vote" was once on the mask, then again on a shirt, and even a full pantsuit graced her appeal. She now shares her joy with a screenshot from her television on which the election results are announced. Your comments: "We did it!" and "Let the healing begin!"

US model Gigi Hadid (25) is also overjoyed. "Christmas came earlier," says one of the new mother's Instagram stories. "Folks, we have to get something really nice for Pennsylvania," reads another. Hadid is alluding to the state that will make the election.

Clip of the crying CNN commentator

US star Jennifer Aniston (51) was also an avid campaigner. To the delight of the day, she is now sharing the clip on which the black CNN commentator Van Jones (52) says with tears of joy: "It is now easier to be a father and tell your children: Character counts. To tell the truth, counts. Being a good person counts. " Aniston wrote: "Today is a good day. Time to move forward. Thank you very much, Van Jones!"

Actor Jason Momoa (41) agrees. He also shares the clip on his account and repeats Jones' words in capital letters in the comment.

Settlement with Trump

By contrast, American by choice Diane Kruger (44) deals with the loser Trump in her Instagram post. "The ONLY thing I will credit Trump forever is that I will NEVER take democracy for granted. For the first time in four years I feel HOPE," said the actress. But that's not all. She also writes: "Let's just hope that he (Trump) will be held accountable for his deeds and lies. I hope the judicial system will not rest until he is in prison," said Kruger.

Director Todd Phillips (49, "Joker") has a harder tone on Instagram. On a photo of Donald Trump, on which – in Trump style – "You are fired" can be read, he writes "Oh, you happy day".

Hope for reconciliation

US actor Brian Austin Green (47, "Beverly Hills, 90210") is now calling on his Instagram followers and fellow citizens to reconciliation: "Let's get together now and do this as one COUNTRY !!!!", he writes and pushes in Afterwards, referring to Biden: "Orchestras have a conductor who helps everyone play together." Many more US stars are looking forward to this new unit.

Also Latino star Jennifer Lopez (51). She also tearfully shows in several Instagram stories how happy the election victory makes her. "I hope that we can all come together again and love and appreciate one another. It's a new day. It is time to heal the deep wounds. We are the United States of America, the greatest country on this planet." She also recalls with regard to Kamala Harris that history was written "for all the little girls in this world".

A special victory for the women

Oscar winner Gwyneth Paltrow (48) is also particularly happy about the new vice president in her post. On a joint photo of the two women, the actress writes: "An important day for women around the world, because Kamala Harris is making history. Congratulations, Mrs. Vice President."
