How does it fit together when a government first denies the production of natural gas and oil companies, then drives up prices with extreme monetary and fiscal policy in a geopolitically tense environment, then begs the companies to increase production – only to finally release strategic reserves because the galloping inflation at the petrol pumps has to be stopped for tactical reasons?
