Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner in divorce war: Custody papers now reveal the name of their second daughter.
In July 2022, Joe Jonas (34) and Sophie Turner (27) had their second child together. They have never publicly revealed the name of their little daughter. Only now, in the wake of their separation, has it been revealed. According to court papers obtained by Page Six, the couple’s second daughter is named Delphine. So far only the name of her first-born daughter was known: Willa was born on July 20, 2020.
The papers are said to be a motion in which Sophie Turner demands that the divorce process be suspended until the custody issue is resolved. The 27-year-old finds clear words: This is a case of “international child abduction”.
Both children have to stay in New York
Background: Just last week, Turner sued Jonas because he was allegedly unwilling to let the children travel to their native Great Britain. He is said to have refused to hand over Willa and Delphine’s passports to her. On September 25th, the two finally agreed that their two daughters would remain in New York until the custody issue was resolved. According to the agreement, neither Sophie Turner nor Joe Jonas would be allowed to leave the state with the children.
It already seems clear: It will be a fierce divorce battle until Turner and Jonas find a final agreement. During the separation, the actress explained that it was never the family’s intention to live permanently in the USA: they had already bought a house in the countryside in England in which the two girls were to grow up.
A spokesman for Joe Jonas denied Turner’s allegations: The singer is interested in “friendly co-parenting”: “Of course he also agrees that the children grow up in both Great Britain and the USA.”
The singer and the actress got together in 2016. Their engagement in 2017 was followed by a wedding in Las Vegas two years later. At the beginning of September, Joe Jonas is said to have filed for divorce. The couple confirmed their separation in a joint statement Statement on Instagram. “After four wonderful years, we have decided together and in friendship to end our marriage.”
