Joey Kelly: attempted world record on cross trainer at RTL donation marathon

Joey Kelly dares to try a world record for the RTL donation marathon. The musician wants to stand on an elliptical machine for 24 hours.

Joey Kelly (47) wants to set a world record for the RTL donation marathon: The musician and extreme athlete wants to get on a cross trainer for 24 hours. Due to the corona pandemic, the 47-year-old is facing the challenge alone in the Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland building in Cologne.

"Corona doesn't stop me! Canceling my annual 24-hour challenge as part of the RTL donation marathon was never an option," explains Kelly in a message from the broadcaster. Unfortunately, as in previous years, he was unable to "face the challenge side by side with the other teams", but at least everyone was "digitally united around the clock".

His sons are also there

Like Kelly, 13 corporate teams will do the same in their companies. Kelly's sons Luke (20) and Leon (16) are also part of the party. They each have their own team. While the colleagues of the company teams can take turns, Kelly alone will keep the cross trainer going.

The starting shot for the record attempt will be given on November 19 (from 6 p.m.) in the opening broadcast of the 25th RTL donation marathon. For Kelly it is already the 16th participation.
