From his real name Didier Morville, JoeyStarr had revealed the reasons why he had chosen this stage name. A choice that is not insignificant.

One thing is certain, JoeyStarr is a versatile artist. A mythical rapper from the NTM group, he is also an actor and has even embarked on the management of a culinary magazine. A project that he immediately seduced: “I’ve always been a foodie, without being a gourmet. I’m not a cook, I’m a guy who cooks. It’s also our future to eat properly (…). When I was cooking rap, there was a very civic, very committed side. It’s something that I found in the world of cooking”, he confided to France Inter.

But the best role he plays is that of father. Father of three beautiful children, he did everything not to reproduce the same mistakes of his father: “How can you have kids without looking back? Whereas me, when I went to the supermarket, when my children were smaller, when I lost sight of one… It’s dizzying! The other, he made kids, he didn’t look back!”.Indeed, the artist never hid it: his dad was never a “good father”.
