License dead space returns after years of absence with a highly anticipated remake, which will still have to find a place alongside The Callisto Protocolwhich one could almost consider as a dead space 4. Now that this series is back in the limelight, can we hope that Electronic Arts capitalize a little more on it? If ever the publisher seeks to adapt the license to the cinema, we know in any case who would be interested in the project.
A director very ready for the project
It’s not the first time that John Carpenterwho directed the legendary film Halloween (in addition to having composed his soundtrack), expresses his desire to make a film dead space.
But on the occasion of the release of Halloween Ends, he was asked about his taste in video games by AV Club. When asked which game he would like to bring to the big screen, his answer is straightforward:
“ The only one I can think of, and I’ve mentioned it before, is Dead Space. It would make a very good movie. I could do that. ยป
Nothing is currently planned at Electronic Arts, but the publisher at least knows who to turn to. Especially since the interested party is keen on the license, even on dead space 3an episode that was less well received than the other two.
During the interview, he also expressed his love for Fallout 76 (it takes everything as they say), the last Ratchet & Clank or Horizon Forbidden West. But for now alone dead space could get him behind the camera for an adaptation.
