John Turturro: "Big Lebowski" star joins Apple series "Severance"

The Apple series "Severance", directed by Ben Stiller, welcomes another star. John Turturro is also on board.

Actor John Turturro (63), known from "The Big Lebowski", "Transformers" or the series for "The Name of the Rose", has landed a role in the drama series "Severance", which is produced by Apple. The 63-year-old joins the previously announced cast around Patricia Arquette (52) and Adam Scott (47), as reported by the American site "Variety".

Another highlight in progress

The plot of "Severance" revolves around the employees of a company called Lumen Industries. Scott will therefore play the character Mark, who tries to hide his dark past from his boss (Arquette). Something is also already known about Turturro's role: he is supposed to play Irving, a long-time reliable employee.

Production of the series is to begin in November of this year. Comedian Ben Stiller (54) is the director. Turturro can also be seen in the upcoming blockbuster "The Batman" with Robert Pattinson (34). He plays the unscrupulous Mafia boss Carmine Falcone.
