Despite having staged brutal works like Born Killers, Oliver Stone feels a real “distaste for video game-style violence” At the movie theater. Addressing varietythe filmmaker spoke about modern franchises linked to pop culture, explaining that they have a problem with violence, which he considers unrealistic and without real impact.
If he takes John Wick 4 as an example, he also claims that this is the case for other sagas like Fast and Furious or Marvel. “I saw John Wick 4 on the plane. I think that movie is grossly disgusting. Disgusting. I don’t know what people think….”he asserted.
