John Wick 4: this end that you have not seen and which would have changed everything for Keanu Reeves

Director of all the films in the saga since the first (co-signed with David Leitch), Chad Stahelski spoke about the unsuccessful end of “John Wick 4”. And it was much less open than that seen in theaters.

WARNING – The article below contains spoilers for “John Wick 4”, insofar as it returns to its end. So please move on if you haven’t seen the film yet.

On July 22, John Wick will be back on our screens. But the little ones, on the occasion of the video release of his fourth adventure. Among the bonuses known to date, there does not seem to be a cut scene. So little chance of discovering the end initially planned.

In an interview given to EmpireChad Stahelski indeed reveals that another outcome was planned, less open than that seen in the cinema: “We had a different ending”says the director.

“We shot one where we saw John Wick. So it was clear that he was alive. But the audience we tested the feature with largely preferred the ambiguous ending.”

An end that would have made the announcement of a John Wick 5 less surprising, certainly tempered by the director a few days ago. And this even if the fact of not having attended the funeral of the ex-hitman played by Keanu Reeves certainly left an open door for a return.

In the meantime, the franchise will continue without him: on the small screen and in the past first of all, with the series on the Continental hotel, the three episodes of which will be broadcast in September in the United States. Then in the cinema with the Ballerina spin-off worn by Ana de Armas and in which Keanu Reeves could appear. And officially launch a John Wick 5?
