Johnny Hallyday: his fans celebrate his 79th birthday, his beautifully decorated grave

Like every year for four years now, June 15 is a special day for the idols of Johnny Hallyday. Yesterday, the famous rocker, who died in 2017, would have celebrated his 79th birthday. A tragic moment, which left a great void for all his fans, and in particular his family and his youngest daughter Joy Hallyday, who recently paid tribute to him.

His fans gathered this Wednesday around his grave, at the marine cemetery of Lorient in Saint-Barthélémy in the French West Indies, where he has been resting in peace since 2017. On several videos, we can see his beautifully decorated grave, with guitars, candles placed all around, notably forming a heart and the number “79”, thus referring to the age he would have had if he were still alive. “Love” can also be read on the grave, while his fans are in the process of collecting and taking videos, while listening to certain songs of the deceased, such as “Something from Tennessee”, a music with melancholy tunes.

“I love you forever”

As usual since his disappearance, his wife Laeticia Hallyday took over his Instagram account this Wednesday to pay tribute to him on this day which is not “like the others” did she write. “How many memories, parties, music and love on June 15 to celebrate you. Tears mingled with joy today in a pure sky, a star will shine more than the others in the firmament. It will light up the hearts of millions people at the same time and ours in particular. It will remind us that you are here, with us, for eternity. Happy Birthday. I love you forever” she said, which did not fail to move Internet users.

As a consolation prize, although it is not enough to erase their grief, fans of the singer will be treated to an exhibition paying homage to him and which should take place at the Parc des expositions de la Porte de Versailles in Paris in early 2024, after a stage in Brussels.
