As our colleagues report from RTL, a new song by Johnny Hallyday will be available soon. And it’s the first that has surfaced since the death of the famous singer, two and a half years earlier. This new song, titled The Night with me, will be released on May 28, 2020. It was recorded in December 1968 at the Olympic Sound Studio in London, while Johnny Hallyday was preparing his twelfth album, River … open your bed. In reality, it's a whole new set that will unveil Universal Music. This will be dedicated to the year 1969, and will bring together a set of live concerts never published as well as “Several rarities discovered among the hours of tapes used to record Rivière… open your bed”. It remains to be seen whether Laeticia Hallyday and Laura Smet will again be excluded from the project, just like for the biopic dedicated to Taulier…
"How about we leave Johnny alone?"
While fans of the Taulier will certainly be delighted, Michel Drucker is not. The famous host, who was very close to Johnny Hallyday, is not convinced. Guest of Morandini Live on Cnews, the same day, Michel Drucker did not hesitate to give his opinion. “Frankly, I'm not upset”, he says. “Was it necessary to take it out? Haven't we done enough already? We released beautiful albums, a symphonic version which is a huge success… ”, remembers the 77-year-old presenter. What he wants is to end it. “How about we leave Johnny alone, definitely, right?”, says Michel Drucker. Jean-Marc Morandini retorts while “the title is not exceptional ", and that it is more than one “Marketing operation”. “Here !", approves his guest. Against all expectations, Michel Drucker concluded his little rant with praise from Jean-Baptiste Guégan: “On the other hand, his vocal double, he touches me! He’s not an imitator! ”, exclaims the host. “And I believe he is sincere. But this, it smells of business. It smells a little like the cash drawer”, finally suggested Michel Drucker.
