During an interview for Paris Match, Laeticia Hallyday confided in a terrible memory, of her last husband, the Taulier consuming drugs.
She does not want to hide anything from her past alongside Johnny Hallyday. His last wife, Laeticia indulged in a few secrets for Paris Match, on the occasion of the broadcast of the report devoted to her late husband, broadcast on M6 on December 8, 2022. She remembered in particular the disastrous consequences of Johnny Hallyday’s concert in Las Vegas in 1996. Indeed, while more than 5,000 French fans will find him in the United States, the latter will be very disappointed with the performance of Taulier. After the concert, Laeticia Hallyday will find him in his dressing room and there, it is a surreal scene which she attends.
“The evening was horrible, one hell of an Aladdin night, coke, crack etc… (…) The next days are really difficult. You have to be there to reassure him, give him love without judging him, without telling him: ‘I want to kick your ass because you suck at getting high’. He is suffering, he is unhappy. He knows he screwed up, he tells me it’s over that his career won’t resume. she confides. The mother of Jade and Joy also returns to the dangerous game in which Johnny Hallyday indulges : “Crack replaced Russian roulette. The bullet in the gun was the time of Nanette Workmanwho was as stoned as he was and with whom he was madly in love.”

But Laeticia Hallyday is a woman in love. And even when Johnny Hallyday falls back into his ways, she is there, she supports him. In the documentary on M6, the widow of the singer also returns to the infidelities of her last husband. For three years, the mother of Jade and Joy will welcome in her house, her mother-in-law Huguette, who is very sick and disabled. “I had become a nurse for her mother, a nurse for my grandmother and my great-grandmother. And there was the arrival of Jade. I forgot myself a little as a woman and I I neglected my husband a bit, which he couldn’t stand. He’s a very possessive man with his wife, I knew what he wanted from me and I couldn’t give it to him at the time. Obviously, that created differences and adventures elsewhere. In 23 years, there are ups, downs, there are very complicated moments. We separated, we got back together, there were infidelities…”, she reveals.

Cash on his past life, Laeticia Hallyday returned to the house in Marnes-la-Coquette, where everything stopped, definitively. The documentary producer Johnny by Laeticia reveals how difficult it was for the widow to return to this place, filled with memories. “It’s not staged on screen because it was a bit heavy to explain it in the film, but Laeticia’s emotion comes from the fact that she is in the office where Johnny died. When she returned to this office, which had been emptied during her absence, it was very complicated“.

It must be said that the image of Johnny is everywhere: “There was a lot of emotion, and especially the moment when she entered the room and wondered, like us, if she was going to be able to stay there.” The director of the documentary remembers : “Laeticia was extremely moved when she entered the office for the first time, which was still intact. When I say intact, the word is weak, there was even the ashtray with a five-year-old cigarette butt! She was really upset. We had to stop filming for whole minutes before she could resume,” confided the director.
