Laeticia Hallyday has since rebuilt her life. She has been in a relationship with the director and actor, Jalil Lespert, since 2020. A love at first sight which brought back a smile to the young woman. This Sunday, December 5, Laeticia Hallyday indeed told RTL that Johnny had asked him not to stop living after his death: “Today, I get there by telling myself that he would be proud, he wanted me to rebuild my life, for me and for my daughters. ” The one who shared the singer’s life for 22 years has “learned to live with this mourning, to be resilient too, to hold on to this future that must be built without him”. Jade and Joy’s mother added: “I have let time do its work, help me and accompany me, because there is no cure for mourning.”
“He will always be there in my heart”
Despite her relationship with Jalil Lespert, Laeticia Hallyday “continues to talk about Johnny every day” and “honor his memory”. “He will always be there in my heart, he is a part of me and of my life.” The artist’s widow, however, slipped that loving again took “time” from her: “It’s complicated to relearn how to love when you’ve loved a man like Johnny, when you’ve loved a man unconditionally.”
A new start in Los Angeles
Laeticia Hallyday has rebuilt her life with Jalil Lespert in a new house in Los Angeles. The couple live with Jade, Joy, and the director’s son. So she left the house she shared with Johnny for a new start. At Quotidien on September 13, the ex-wife of the rock star said she was “convinced that it is Johnny who sends it to me” – Jalil Lespert – in order to “learn again to live and to love”. “I find a taste for existence thanks to Jalil, his love carries me and transports me”, she also indicated, looking moved.
