Join forces – supra-regional economic activity should help the climate

Supraregional project aims to help the economy and the climate. EU funding also guarantees sustainable support!

To ensure that Europe becomes a climate-neutral continent, the EU is providing financial resources from the Just Transition Fund (JTF) as part of the Green Deal. “These funds will be increasingly used in those regions for which climate-neutral business is particularly challenging,” says regional manager Michael Baldauf. In Carinthia these are primarily the districts of Wolfsberg, Völkermarkt, Feldkirchen and St. Veit.”25 million euros Additional EU funds of 25 million euros are therefore available for these regions. That is why the Chamber of Commerce, the Lavanttal Business Association, and the Southern Carinthia Regional Development have come together under the LAG project management. “The central concern continues to be to sensitize as many companies as possible to climate-neutral business and to inform them about the opportunities and potential,” says the Wolfsberg WK chairman Gerhard Oswald.
