JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R came to surprise everyone during this State of Play. The fighting game adapting the manga ofHirohiko Araki will return in a new form to the end of this fall.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle R is halfway between remake and sequel since many adjustments seem to have been made to the original gameplay. On PlayStation Blog, the game’s producer Kentaro Matano evokes for example the addition of hit stops and jump dashes. bandai namco also talks about new combos and especially about a tag-team system with ally attacks.
We are promised 50 playable characters including 40 whose identity we already know since they were in the base game or in DLC. It is assumed that the dozen additional fighters will come from parts 6, 7 or 8 to accompany their protagonists. With why not a few borrowings from Eyes of Heaven. Note that some characters are doubled, especially those of part 6 to stick to the anime.
In terms of game modes, we stay in the classic mode with All Star Battle, Arcade, Online, Versus, Training and Gallery. We would therefore lose the Campaign mode which would not be the worst news. The All Star Battle Mode, which serves as the story of the game, will resume its various missions by adding new ones to exceed the hundred battles. Here too, it is believed that the additions will mainly serve to flesh out the more recent parts.
But don’t think that its announcement during a State of Play makes it a PlayStation exclusive since the game will be released on the two PlayStations but also the two Xboxes, the PC and even the Switch.
