The last PlayStation State of Play aired last March was focused on games from Japanese studios and was an opportunity for bandai namco to announce JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R, which as its name suggests will be based on the game released in 2013 on PS3. As a release period, we were then only entitled to a vague “fall 2022”, which is now specified. In the end, it is even well before this period that the fighting game based on the work of Hirohiko Araki will see the light of day.
In effect, JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R will be released with us on September 2, 2022 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Switch, and from the day before on PC (Steam). This shift is explained by the fact that Japan will be entitled to it from September 1 on all media. The released trailer features the playable characters from multiple parts namely Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders and Steel Ball Run, which were already available in the original game. It also introduces others that will appear in roster. The lucky ones are therefore Robert EO Speedwagon, Mariah, pet shop and Diego Brandopromising a good diversity of techniques.
In addition to the standard edition ($49.99), a Deluxe digital was unveiled ($69.99) including a Set of alternative colors (5 types) of the Special Animation event for Jonathan Joestar, Joseph Joestar, Jotaro Kujo, Josuke Higashikata and Giorno Giovannaand a Season Pass. Yes, even on a remaster improved, you will still have to pay for more additions after the release… The latter will include 4 additional characters added to the 50 of the base game, as well as the costumes First appearance of Rohan Kishibe and Dad? by Mohammad Avdol. As a bonus pre-order bonus, players will receive an outfit Green Dolphin Street Jail Jacket for Jolyne Cujoh.
At last, a collector sold €109.99 will highlight the latter with a figurine, nothing surprising with the release of the anime.
