Joko and Klaas are back and with them the duel against ProSieben for 15 primetime minutes. This time the punishment and reward were very similar.

The two full-time idiots Joko Winterscheidt, 44, and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, 40, competed against their employer again on Tuesday evening (October 17th) after a long break. At the start of the seventh season, “Joko & Klaas vs. ProSieben,” they once again fought for 15 minutes of primetime broadcast time, which they can fill as they wish.

Among other things, the duo were able to demonstrate their screwdriving and moving skills and take part in a very special variant of the ProSieben format “The Masked Singer”. Instead of singing, celebrities like Stefanie Heinzmann, 34, Jochen Schropp, 44, and Michael Schulte, 33, tried their hand at being masked stuntmen. Joko and Klaas had to guess which of the masks was their in-house stuntman. They also had to prove themselves against Stefanie Kloß, 38, and Peter Maffay, 74, in a music-related challenge.

The duo advanced to the finale of the almost three-hour show with four out of six “advantages” earned. More than enough to win the game and get 15 minutes of broadcast time, which Joko and Klaas will redeem on Wednesday evening at 8:15 p.m. As punishment, they would have had to film a freely selectable special for the in-house streaming platform Joyn – basically little difference to a victorious evening…

Special rewards and punishments

In the seven-season tradition of “Joko & Klaas against ProSieben,” there have been numerous creative rewards and punishments. The two of them used their 15 minutes to show different variants of sexual harassment and sexualized violence against women with “Men’s Worlds”, drew attention to the nursing shortage in Germany or drew attention to the protest movement of people in Iran.

As a rule, they had to carry out unpleasant tasks for their home broadcaster. In seasons five and six, they greeted and said goodbye to the TV audience in every commercial, set the sound effects of the next program to music, took over ProSieben’s Instagram account, and moderated three ” Galileo” editions, had themselves stuck to a billboard for an advertising campaign, looked at their defeat edition and commented on it. They also commented on the coronation of King Charles III, 74, read Mother’s Day greetings from viewers on TV, presented the weather to “ProSieben Newstime” and took over kitchen duty in the ProSieben canteen.
