“Joko & Klaas against ProSieben”: With “curse” and feint to failure

Joko Winterscheidt, 44, and Klaas Heufer-Umlauf, 40, were certainly hoping for something sweet on Halloween, but in the end there was only treat for the moderators in the latest edition of “Joko & Klaas versus ProSieben”. The duo couldn’t get 15 minutes of airtime in the third episode of the current season on October 31st.

Joko and Klaas save humanity

In keeping with the horror festival, the station presented the end-time mood to kick off the show. At the beginning of the episode, Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf were supposed to work their way into the studio under difficult conditions in order to free all of humanity from an ominous “curse” by pressing a buzzer. They managed to do that shortly before time was up, but it wasn’t a good omen.

In the second game they had to choose items in order to complete twelve of the 15 tasks. One bite into a burnt pizza and a song played with a cucumber later, among other things, the two moderators already recorded the second advantage in their account. A third was for successfully hiding a money bag from singer Jasmin Wagner, 43, – also known as Blümchen – and musician Domiziana, 26.

However, things went significantly worse for the ProSieben duo in the fourth, fifth and sixth games. The two were supposed to compete against, among others, rapper Nura, 34, and her colleague Ski Aggu, 25. They had to push a cart full of objects – including Halloween decorations – against a curb so that the objects flew as far as possible. However, the games were lost – and with them further advantages for the final.

ProSieben wins with a feint

In the “easiest final in the world,” Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf had to press a buzzer within five minutes. Steven Gätjen, 51, explained: “You are not playing this final as a team, but separately. […] You have to figure out how to win this final.”

Then a deception by ProSieben came into play. In fact, the two of them should really just hit the buzzer. However, after they both put on blindfolds and headphones, the time already started without them being informed. The moderators waited patiently for their turn – even if at least Winterscheidt became suspicious in between: “Can someone give me a quick tap on the shoulder to let me know that you’re still here and that it’s right that I’m still here sit?”

After the five minutes that Winterscheidt and Heufer-Umlauf held out completely, they were finally informed that they had just lost. The next episode can be seen again on ProSieben on November 7th from 8:15 p.m. As punishment for the defeat, the two then have to present the upcoming games on the next show in short clips – just like all kinds of celebrities usually do.
