“Jon Snow is not well”: Kit Harrington reveals the first info on the Game of Thrones spin-off

During an interview, Kit Harrington gave some information on the possible spin-off of “Game of Thrones” devoted to his character, Jon Snow.

After the global success of House of the Dragon, the Game of Thrones prequel nominated last night for the Golden Globe for Best Drama Series, everything suggests that other spin-offs derived from George RR Martin’s novels will soon see the day on the American channel HBO.

And among the projects currently in development, one attracts more attention from fans since it concerns one of the most emblematic heroes of the series: Jon Snow.

A few months ago, Kit Harrington confided to work on a sequel devoted to the character, exiled at the end of the series in the northern territories although he could have claimed the Iron Throne since his real name is none other than. .. Aegon Targaryen, rightful heir to the House of the Dragon!

But while the end of season 8 was rather optimistic, ending with the death of the tyrannical Daenerys and the accession to the throne of the wise Bran Stark, the tone of the Jon Snow spin-off nevertheless promises to be much darker. , according to the words of his interpreter in an interview with our colleagues from Entertainment Weekly:

He will have to relive all the episodes of his past, and think back to the fact of having killed Dany, to live with the memory of Ygritte dying in his arms, of having ordered the hanging of Olly, all the trauma he has experiences etc… (…) When we see him for the last time in the series, we have this feeling that everything is going well for him. But in reality, it is not well.

Before Kit Harrington’s words arouse enthusiasm among fans, remember that the Jon Snow spin-off is only a project in development, like four other series, and has not yet officially commissioned by HBO.

It is therefore possible that the program may never see the light of day, like the pilot with Naomi Watts nipped in the bud by the American cable channel…
