Landed in our lives “stuck” on a sofa between Orelsan and Gringe, under the name of Serge le Mytho, before setting us on fire in the role of MAAAAARC, and now as comfortable with the trigger as behind a microphone in Sentinelle, Jonathan Cohen is certainly considered one of the funniest actors of his generation.
If it is the small screen that has made him a great public favorite, the actor has also lit up the dark rooms, both in comedies and in arthouse films.

Available on UniversCiné, Énorme is exactly at the crossroads of these two genres. Directed by Sophie Letourneur (Les Coquillettes, Gaby Baby Doll, Voyages enItalie) and released in 2020, this Jean-Vigo Prize-winning feature film examines pregnancy with a very unique tone.
Jonathan Cohen plays Fréderic, a man who desperately wants to have a child with his wife Claire (Marina Foïs), a professional pianist who never wanted one.
Increasingly eager to start a family, Frédéric, who manages everything in the couple, falsifies the contraceptive pills of his wife who therefore becomes pregnant, denying her pregnancy while he makes a couvade.

Through this daring and provocative pitch, the filmmaker manages to address with humor, sincerity and in a raw manner issues such as forced pregnancies, dysmorphophobia, couples and even the profession of midwife.
Keen to anchor his story in reality, Letourneur demonstrated authenticity by portraying “non-actors” playing their own roles, even going so far as to film real births of real future mothers.
Sequences were also shot in advance with amateurs, then replayed by the main actors, all brought together by the magic of editing. In short, an inflated UFO and not to be missed on UniversCiné.
