Jordan Bardella: “We can withdraw for the patriotic candidate in the second round of the legislative elections”

Guest of the morning of CNEWS this Thursday, April 28, Jordan Bardella, president of the National Rally, launched an appeal to the voters of the Reconquest party, led by Éric Zemmour, calling on them to work together to be better represented in the Assembly national.

A few weeks before the legislative elections, Jordan Bardella has clarified the strategy of the National Rally in the weeks to come. “There will be RN candidates in all the constituencies of France, with party candidates and there may be discussions on a case-by-case basis, to support candidates from outside”.

A statement that indirectly targets other far-right parties, such as Reconquest, the movement chaired by Éric Zemmour and having gathered 7% of the vote in the first round of the presidential election. “With Reconquest, we can have our differences, especially on the question of pensions. In the first round, everyone will make their differences prevail.

“Give us strength from the first round”

Thus, Jordan Bardella wishes not to close the door to possible alliances. “In the second round, there may be withdrawal agreements that will lead us to take our responsibilities and we can withdraw and support the best placed patriotic candidate”.

The president of the National Rally also appealed to the voters who trusted Marine Le Pen and Éric Zemmour during the Presidential election. “The main thing is that[ils] they gather. Give us strength from the first round, do not scatter your votes.

For the next electoral deadline, Jordan Bardella hopes that “the strong ideas on security, on the protection of French identity, on stopping this ever-increasing tax tension on businesses, the middle classes, the working classes be strongly represented in the National Assembly.

A proposal for an alliance which is however not supported by the French. According to a latest survey, 66% of them believe that Marine Le Pen and Eric Zemmour should not ally.
