Armie Hammer's successor has been found. Josh Duhamel will direct the action comedy "Shotgun Wedding" with Jennifer Lopez.

The new leading actor at the side of Jennifer Lopez (51, "Hustlers") has been found: Josh Duhamel (48, "Unsolved") will replace Armie Hammer (34) who jumped off the role in "Shotgun Wedding". The American "People" magazine reports that exclusively. Accordingly, Duhamel has already signed the contract for the action comedy.

Hammer renounces several main roles

Filming for the film is scheduled to begin on February 22nd in the Dominican Republic. In addition to Lopez, Hollywood star Ryan Reynolds (44, "Deadpool") will work as a producer. Hammer left the project entirely. The reason: Several women accuse the actor of violent sex fantasies and cannibalism. Corresponding news, which should have been written by Hammer, circulated on the net. However, the actor denies any allegations.

Against this background, it is impossible for the 34-year-old family man to "leave my children for four months with a clear conscience to shoot a film in the Dominican Republic," said Hammer, explaining his resignation. According to "Variety", the actor has now also dropped out of the ten-part series "The Offer", in which he should also have played a leading role.
